I don’t have kids but I want to help with their safe recovery. What can I do to make sure that I am a helpful citizen to the local and national youth, when one of them goes missing?

You can start by signing up for wireless Amber Alerts at www.wirelessamberalerts.org. I believe that all cell phone carriers are represented so there isn’t much of chance that you wouldn’t be able to help.
